2005 is behind us and it was a pretty busy year for the Polish Wikimedia projects. The very beginning of the year was a great time in the press, as the Polish Wikipedia hit 50k articles. Many various community and computer magazines reported on this fact and encouraged to edit our project. Looks like it worked, because in less then 10 months we doubled our capacity – and at that moment we had information on 100k articles. Needless to say, we didn’t stop at that. We needed even less time (3 months) to hit 150k articles. Nearing end of the year we’re the fifth largest Wikipedia, and guess what – we ain’t stopping on that. This fast growth wouldn’t be possible without the help of bots, mainly tsca.bot, maintained by tsca, who’s adding new data to the wiki based on statistical data obtained from PD sources.
